Perlite now availiable in India @ Rs. 5 per litre

PERLICON - Expanded Perlite PERLICON is an amorphous volcanic glass lava rock  (SiO 2 ) that has relatively high water content, typically formed by the hydration of obsidian. PERLICON has the unusual characteristic of expanding and becoming porous when it is heated.  It can expand to as much as twenty times its original volume.  Expanded when is heated to 1100 ‘C) and the water molecules trapped in the mineral  turn into vapor causing it to expand.  (simple like grain to  popcorn.) the mineral particles pop like popcorn and form a granular, snow-white material that is so light in weight it weighs only about (50-160 kg/cubic meter). Particle of PERLICON is comprised of tiny closed air cells or bubbles. The surface of each particle is covered with tiny cavities which provide an extremely large surface area. These surface cavities trap moisture and make it available to plant roots. In addition, because of the physical shape of each particle or ...

Perlite - a fluffy mineral technology

Perlite Technologies  Perlite is an amorphous volcanic glass lava rock  (SiO 2 ) that has relatively high water content, typically formed by the hydration of obsidian. Perlite has the unusual characteristic of expanding and becoming porous when it is heated.  It can expand to as much as twenty times its original volume.  Expanded when is heated to 1600 degrees F (871 degrees C) and the water molecules trapped in the mineral  turn into vapor causing it to expand.  (simple like grain to  popcorn.)  Before it is expanded, perlite is commonly gray, but can also be green, brown, blue or red.  After it has been heated, perlite is typically light gray to white. .  It is an   industrial mineral   and a commercial product useful for its light weight after processing. Perlite in Horticulture :  Horticultural Perlite helps plants robust grow and improves soil structure. This inorganic mineral will produce health...

Porroc - Pumice Perlite based aggregates for construction

Porroc - A perfect blend of Pumice & Perlite based Lightweight Aggregates  Porroc-porous rock aggregates  Porroc is the latest development in Litagg range  by GBC INDIA , a lightweight filler with unique performance properties and a wide   range of applications. Utilizing high-quality raw materials and modified process technologies Porroc can be optimized for very low water absorption. Porroc is a multifunctional inorganic lightweight beads/ aggregate with bulk densities starting from 500-700 kg/m3  for quality building materials and industrial products. The creamy white spheres are porous  mineral  rock based  and available in different grain sizes from 2-6 ,8 -10 mm ,10-12mm LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE USING PORROC : The word ‘Porroc’ is a general term used for a range of porous materials produced during volcanic eruptions. Porroc stone strong and less porous. Its water absorption is as high as @15% ....
